Our work is divided into three core program areas:

1. Community Collaborations + Public Art: Through our creative placemaking/ placekeeping work (e.g. SMALL TOWN * BIG ART) and storytelling projects (e.g. HUI MO'OLELO), cross-sector collaborators work on equal footing with professional artists to convey a message, problem-solve or beautify a special place.

2. Events: Our Events include artist workshops, theme-based panel discussions, virtual talk story sessions, blessings & unveilings of new work, public rehearsals, live exhibitions, public art tours and other happenings, all of which offer a means of connection, discourse, celebration and/ or continued sharing.

3. Public Initiatives: We are actively working to build a County of Maui Percent-for-Art program that creates and integrates diverse artworks into our landscape in order to establish a vibrant visual environment that provides public places with civic distinction, as well as fostering meaningful connections between people and place. Our Arts-As-Catalyst initiative utilizes the arts as a bridge to enact plans that reflect the aspirations and goals shared by collaborating stakeholders. Our Wailuku Arts District project is working to establish a public-private partnership to manage the rich cross-section of arts entities throughout Wailuku.
